Landscape Gallery
I've spent many hours backpacking along our National Trails and hiking in the mountains of England and Wales. This page is unashamedy an excuse to show some of my favourite photographs from those trips. I hope you enjoy seeing this selection but please don't expect exhibition photos. Walking up to 20 miles each day there wasn't time to stop and wait for the perfect lighting. To view a gallery, simply click on one of the images you see below. You can then use the buttons to view the photos individually or as a slide show. If you hover your mouse over a picture, the tool tip help will show that I haven't yet completed some of the galleries. Please come back and have another look on a future visit.

All the images you'll see here were taken with a small Pentax Optio WP compact. The WP stands for Waterproof and this feature has been tested on many occasions. It has now been replaced with a Canon SX210 for the improved image resolution, the x14 zoom lens and image stabilisation. In many respects, it's a mini-DSLR that you can carry in your pocket. Mine has already survived many hours on horseback and it has allowed me to capture images that would have been impossible with the Pentax. Although it's a little heavier, it will be coming with me on future trips.
